How important is the Relationship Status on Facebook or Myspace ??????

Last weekend i was having a coffee with my friends, and soon a never ending debate started on the relationship status on facebook and myspace.

After i got back home i did a random search on google and find couple of articles on this topics. Its surprising to know but it is true we are living in a world of digital commitment.

A survey conducted by Her Campus(http://hercampus.com/love/importance-facebook-relationship-status-its-well-complicated?page=1) shows that going official on a facebook is represented as a significant progress in a relationship. Its look like much more important to girls than guys. Sarah has broken off with her boyfriend as he don't want to go official on facebook, Rachel remarked " if i'm proud to be with someone, why hide that from others?"

Article published inthe Associated content from yahoo agreed that girls care about relationship status on facebook for number of reasons as they want to know everyone with whome they are with. They cared because they want to know they guy they are with is not emarrassed of them. And ironically they want their ex to know they are in a relationship again.

Most of the people claimed that they does not take realtionsip status seriously and they took it as a joke the get some attention and some also said they want to keep their love life private and don't want to published it on some webiste.

Honestly, still can not understand why its important for girls but it is for sure . So to all Guys out there make sure on this Valentine you change your status to "In a Relationship" if you have not.

All the best !
